How the calendar works
Booking, cut-offs and results
- Booking closes about five weeks before the sitting. Dates are published 12 months before the relevant assessment.
- The law you are examined on is fixed four calendar months before the first assessment day of your window. Anything implemented on that date counts.
- SQE1 results are published five to six weeks after the assessment. SQE2 results are published 14 to 18 weeks after the assessment. SQE2 resits are therefore at least six months apart.
- SQE2 oral assessments take place in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff. Written assessments run at Pearson VUE centres in the UK and internationally.
- You have six years from your first sitting to complete both SQE1 and SQE2, with up to three attempts at each.
